Decent wireless mouse for the price.

Cons:
- Forward and back buttons are hard to use.
- Side scrolling gets in the way of middle click.
- Side scroll, forward and back need special software to work.
- Pointer stops responding for a split second every so often (every 15 min or so)
- Scroll wheel doesn't have same positive click feel and sound my other logitech mice had
Pros:
- Smooth and precise
- Easy setup no installation (expect for point above)
- No more red glow. (invisible optic)
- Side scroll works great for moving between tabs in firefox)
- left or right hand (my wife is left handed, I'm right)
- cordless
- uses primary (alkaline) batteries so I don't have to deal with rechargeables

Getting rid of the mouse cord makes up for any of the minor cons in my opinion.

Favorite Logitech Mouse

I've had this mouse for over 2 years. As a moderate gamer and someone who uses a computer 6+ hours a day, this mouse has been my favorite of any Logitech Mouse I've purchased to date. I think I've replaced the batteries 3 or 4 times since I bought it. (Inever turn it off)

I don't consider the back/forward buttons hard to reach or use. I guess it really just depends on the size/length of your fingers and hand as to rather they will be comfortable to reach.

One thing I really like is, you don't need yourest your fingers at the end of the mouse to click. From the end to about an inch or 2 back is 'clickable'.

To the individual claiming when they try the middle-click, that the tilt option gets in the way Learn to middle-click better. I had the same problem when I first bought this mouse because I wasn't used to using a middle-click and realized I wasn't pressing down on the middle of the wheel, I was pressing on it at an angle thus causing it to tilt. Now I never have that problem.

The independent program needed to program the buttons (SetPoint) takes all of 840kb to run and the KHALMNPR process takes 460kb. All in all, not really anything to warrant a negative comment. Most mice will require you to have a running program to use the programmable buttons.

I love this mouse and highly recommend it for anyone. I've never had a single problem or difficulty. Of course, it's always a plus that Logitech finally made it so the logo doesn't rub off, I've had that problem with previous mice.
